MORE THAN A FLY FISHING FESTIVAL

Green Mountain Fly Fest is about more than catching fish.

It is an invitation to get outside, learn something new, connect with the rivers and landscapes around us, and discover why protecting wild places matters.

Throughout the weekend, visitors will have opportunities to cast a fly rod, tie flies, explore new outdoor activities, meet guides and conservation organizations, discover new gear, hear stories, enjoy live music, and spend time with people who share a passion for the outdoors.

And for those who already love fly fishing, it is a chance to immerse yourself in the culture, characters, craftsmanship, and conservation that make the sport special.

One of our goals is to introduce more people to fly fishing and outdoor recreation by making it more approachable, affordable, and fun.

PROTECT WHAT WE LOVE

Healthy rivers don’t happen by accident.

The future of fly fishing—and outdoor recreation as a whole—depends on healthy rivers, functioning ecosystems, public access, and protected wild places.

Green Mountain Fly Fest puts conservation at the center of the experience.

We believe the best way to create lifelong conservationists is to help people develop a personal connection with the outdoors.

Get outside – Appreciate wild places – Protect what we love

A portion of festival proceeds and fundraising efforts will support organizations working to protect Vermont’s rivers, fisheries, wildlife, and outdoor spaces.

BUILT IN VERMONT. OPEN TO EVERYONE.

Vermont has a long history of connecting people with the outdoors.

Green Mountain Fly Fest celebrates that tradition while creating something new: a gathering where experienced anglers can share what they know, beginners can find their way in, families can discover new adventures, and everyone can leave with a deeper connection to the places around us.

This is your invitation to come outside.
